Horseback Trail Rides
Trail riding on the Panhandle of Florida doesn't get any better. Located close to Destin Florida beaches, Arnett's Gulfside Trail Rides, Stables, and Campground has a horse for everyone. With 13,800 acres of State Forest, there is plenty of riding to fill up your day.
Activity Highlights → Ride through nearly 14,000 acres of State Forest. → Well trained staff and horses. → Horses are well taken care of, surefooted, & happy to trail! → Great for all ages and interests. → Guided Tours Daily. Booking Details:Please bring with you the provided confirmation number (located on the voucher e-mailed to you after online purchase) and a valid drivers license for verification. The horse stables are located at 613 S County Highway 393 in Santa Rosa Beach. Please arrive at least 20 minutes prior to the trail ride in order to get safety instructions.Departure Details Trail rides are offered all year round from morning to afternoon. Please see the calendar by clicking the "book now" button above for availability. Duration: 1 Hour Parking Public parking is available at stables. Inclusions ● Trail Guide ● Intro Lesson Exclusions ● Food/Beverages Restrictions ● Must be at least 18 to reserve. ● Waivers are required for each rider and must be signed upon arrival. Additional Information ● If it rains, the customer may still ride as it does not affect the horses. ● Young children (Under 7) may ride with an adult for $25. One child rider per horse. ● Inexperienced riders will get a free lesson in the barn prior to the trail ride. Cancellation Policy Customers may cancel at least 24 hours prior to their arrival date to receive a full refund minus a $5 service fee. Customers that cancel after the 24 hour period will not be eligible for a refund. If the guide calls off the tour due to inclement weather, the customer may reschedule or opt for a full refund. Customer may make changes to the reservation without any fees as long as it's outside the 24 hour cancellation period. No-shows will not be refunded Ready to book? Here is what you do... I loved the horses... The trail was nice, but I had absolutely no freedom. I kept wanting to jump off of the trail and actually ride the horse. It was so strict that I felt like I was on a machine controlled ride.
I wouldn't come back because it wasn't as exciting as I thought it might be. The staff was great though. THanks.

People were great and very informative about the horses. Horses were great but the trails were very dusty with dirt flying up in our face the whole time. When the trails weren't sandy, the horses were walking thru several feet of muddy water splashing water everywhere. It was either dirt flying everywhere or dirty water splashing everywhere almost the entire time. I have never been on a ride where the trails were such a mess.

What does one do in NW Florida on a beautiful winter’s day in late January? We went on a guided trail ride with tour guide Kendall who led us through an amazing wooded area just minutes from Destin! The property was immaculate, the horses impeccably clean and well cared for. All horses are Tennessee Walkers (which for us inexperienced riders means they are the smoothest, most comfortable riding horses around). Not being an experienced rider myself, I was a little nervous about the whole thing. Not to worry, my horse knew the way and took good care of me. Once I figured out she was the boss, we got along well (I think she knew I didn’t have a clue how to do this). We had good instruction before leaving the stable and Kendall made the ride fun and informative. I can’t wait to do it again with friends and family! Best ride ever!

Great looking horses! You can tell the staff takes great care of the place. Very clean and well kept. The trail rides were fun and the horses were trained well. A great things to do when you're tired of the beaches!
