Welcome to the Emerald Coast! If you are a returning visitor, glad to have you back! If it’s your first time here, you are going to LOVE it! The white sand and emerald green water are unlike any other.
You can choose the time of day you would like to schedule your beach portraits. Colors look best against the white sand, but if you have your heart set on wearing white, it’s completely your choice.
I would love to spend time with your family, capturing your lifestyles. My specialty is catching that candid moment when your child is just being himself…chasing the seagulls, or walking down the beach. These are the portraits you will treasure forever. And they will bring your mind back to the place where you created memories.
Activity Highlights → Great with families and young children. → Three discounted packages to choose from. → Sunset or sunrise sessions available for best light. → Professional editing services available. → Props available for children upon request. Available Packages Special Mini-Session $95 15 Minute Mini-Session. Includes 2 digital files with copyright release. This means you can print any and all sizes of these images b/c they belong to you. You will receive them via email within 5 days of shoot. The mini session is not available at sunset and the photographer will contact the customer shortly after the booking to discuss time and details. Customer MUST meet photographer at 30A location ONLY. Package 1 $155 30 minute sessions. Includes 25 images posted online for 30 days viewing. Prints include 2--4x6s and 1--5x7. Package 2 $260 1 Hour Session. Includes 60 images posted online for 30 days viewing. Prints include 3--4x6s, 2--5x7s, and 1--8x10. Package 3 $375 45 Minute Session. Includes 60 images posted online for 30 days viewing and CD of all images with copyright release. Booking Details:Once the session is booked, the photographer will contact the customer to discuss location, time and any other details related to the session. Please bring with you the provided confirmation number (located on the voucher e-mailed to you after online purchase) and a valid drivers license for verification.Departure Details Beach photography sessions are available year round. Sunrise and sunset sessions are offered daily based on availability. Sunrise sessions typically start around 6-7am and sunset sessions start around 6-7pm. Duration: 15 min-1 hour (based on package selection) Inclusions ● Props (On request) ● Prints (based on package) ● Low resolution image for Facebook ● Photo session ● Basic photo edits ● Shipping Exclusions ● CD (Available for purchase) Restrictions ● There will be a $75 additional fee for families of 7-12, $150 for 13-18, and $225 for 19-24. ● These packages cannot be used for events such as weddings or vow renewals. ● Due to the limited sunlight for the sessions, it is best to be ready at the exact time the photographer schedules. ● Packages are meant for parties under 25. Please call 800-450-7139 for parties over 20. ● Special mini-session package is the only package that the photographer WILL CHOOSE the time and location. Sunset is not guaranteed with this package. Additional Information ● The location for the session can be at a public beach access or behind a condo, home or hotel that sits on the beach. ● Props are great for children because they keep them occupied and somewhat under control during sessions. ● The photographer suggests khaki and white for the photo session, but bright and fluorescent colors (no writing or patterns) work well too. ● Additional prints, albums, CD and more can be purchased ala carte after the session. Please ask the photographer for more details during or after the session. ● Sometimes the weather looks intimidating, and the skies are grey--those skies can be pretty in pictures--but the first strike of lightning and we are off the beach! If the session is early on, we will reschedule. We don't take chances with lightning because there have been people in Destin who have been struck by lightning in years past. Even the lifeguards will clear the beach at the first strike of lightning! Cancellation Policy In the event the client cancels the sitting, the deposit may go towards a portrait session on another date. Rain days will be rescheduled. If we find it necessary to cancel the sitting in the event of an emergency, the full deposit will be returned to the client minus a $5 service fee. Ready to book? Here is what you do... I can't say enough positive things about melanie. She took great photos of my whole family. Her prices were reasonable and she was great to work with. We had a photo taken with my deceased parents wedding rings and I managed to loose my dads ring in the sand. She helped look and called her husband who had a metal detector and he drove it to the beach. After one hour of searching we finally found it. She never complained about the time. Great photos, great lady.

Found Melanie on the Tripshock website. So glad I did! She scouted a great location on the beach to take pictures of my whole family - including 4 kids ranging from 16 to twin 4 year olds. She did a great job with getting candid pictures and "posed" of the group and also random ones along the beach. She was great with the kids - getting 4 to cooperate at the same time can be a challenge!
She contacted me right after I made my reservation and stayed in touch before we made our trip to FL. Once we were there, she texted me and kept me informed of any weather issues and where to meet with directions. It was a great experience!

What a great choice we made!! Our pictures turned out great! The location was nice and secluded, the sunset was beautiful and the photographer was very personable! Thank you so much Melanie for helping our vacation be such a success! It has been 8 years since my husband and I have had our portrait together (our wedding day) and with our new addition, of 2 year old Sophie, we wanted to cherish more than just our vacation but the actual moment. You helped us do that and with such personality! Great with people, great with children and fantastic with the camera!!

We got the min-package with a 15 minute session and the ownership (copyright) to 2 photos of our choice. This was a great value, Melanie did a terrific job with our kids (and spent more than 15 minutes with us, a full half hour actually) and she was very responsive, easy to get a a hold of, easy to deal with and her photos were great! Very highly reccommend this to anyone.

I am in awe with our family pictures! By speaking with Melanie over the phone, I knew she was very personable.
Then when we met her on the beach for our photo shoot, it confirmed everything. She was prompt, courteous and learned our names and our boys' names and was so gracious. I felt good about the photo shoot but really didn't know how the pictures would turn out since most of our previous pictures looked so "canned". I was in for a pleasant surprise...MELANIE CAPTURED THE PERSONALITY OF OUR FAMILY PERFECTLY!
I can't stop looking at our pictures because I am so satisfied. You have a wonderful talent, Melanie, and I now have my "perfect family picture.

Not only did Melanie out do herself with the pictures she took, but she also was such a pleasure working with. The pictures she capture of our family were absolutely amazing, and affordable. She was able to get my three year old to smile for every picture. She capture memories that will last a life time. I highly recommend her services!

She worked very hard to make sure that we got the portraits that we wanted--even after having to reschedule 3 times due to rain. We have 5 children, and this was the easiest professional portrait session we have ever had done anywhere! She was fantastic with my kids, and they absolutely loved her. Melanie is professional, kind, and very quick! She seemed like an old friend from the very beginning! And our portraits... they are gorgeous!
