Tour Guide

The tour guide (11am) was a pompous jerk. After stating to please interupt him at any time, he yelled at and embarrassed two young men there with boy scouts for interrupting him. He proceeded to overtly mock the people wearing masks, not once or twice, but on 4 separate occasions stating that Covid is just the flu. No one needs to be ridiculed and he clearly is not someone who should be working with the public.

Overall a great time at the Polar Express movie night

The venue did not have our reservation even though we bought our tickets WELL in advance. It took a little bit to get through the line. I would suggest more training on advanced tickets. Very little snacks for right after work and to get through the entire movie with small kids. We had to rush to get there and thought there would be at least food/snacks we could purchase. Overall a pretty good event and my kids loved it. So I can't ask for much more.

Beauboir and 2018 Fall Muster Reenactment

Outstanding time, a muse see when on the Gulf Coast. Museum was both educational and fun. 2018 Fall Muster Reenactment is something you have to experience.

Very informative 52 minute tour.

We really enjoyed our house tour and spent some time at the rest of the gardens. Would have liked to see the Library, but the elevator was not running so we could not as my wife cannot do stairs. the only other issue was that when we booked online at our hotel, the Tripshock site stated that it was not necessary to print our tickets. Upon arrival at Beauvoir the agent was very upset that we did not have a printed copy or one on our cell phone, even though we did have our reference number.

This historic location is beautiful and has rebounded from Katrina. The grounds and the walk to the grave sites is great and the various flowers in bloom were lovely. The museum was amazing and informative.

A step back in time

This was the best 10.00(bought ticket online) I've spent in a very long time. We were passing through and only planned to spend an hour, and ended up spending 3. The hours is amazing, the library I cant even describe, but the grounds are so serene and peaceful. My favorite was the tribute to all the soldiers in the cemetery at the back of the property.

Beauvoir=Beautiful

Our transaction with TripShock was seemless. The tour(by Rob) was very informative and historic. He read our groups interest very well and the stories that went with the items made it so much more interesting...seriously he was fabulous! Seeing the house is a must. Definitely worth the trip and was a highlight of ours. Gift shop is very well stocked with cookbooks, books, novelties, poster prints of documents, pins, patches, shirts, something for everyone. Put it on your must do list if you want to learn the history of the area.

Wonderful Historic Venue

Southern history could not be complete without the last home of Jefferson Davis included. The house tour guide really knew her stuff and the couple who showed us around the museum were beyond warm, welcoming, and knowledgeable. Planning another trip back in the fall. Only negative comment I could make was the times listed on the web weren't accurate.

True Exploration of Americana Experience

Wonderful piece of American Experience. Touch history of the then, to know what we were with path to where we are. Architecture and living in another time period. Artifacts galore expressing war, politics, family and peace. Friendly staff from first greeting, through the tour and "finis" at the gift shop. Extensive library chocked full of knowledge, if you dare to read some challenging literature. Lastly, sit in a rocking chair, on the porch, overlooking the Gulf of Mexico, reminiscent of the one that "the man with out a country" did.
