Reviews of Edgar Degas House Tour & Creole Breakfast

Nice tour
It was nice to learn about Degas’ ties with New Orleans, and also see the room which hosted him during his time in Louisiana. There was a little too much focus on his brother’s infidelity; we would have preferred to learn more about the paintings he did here and a more detailed analysis of the letters or other first hand documents in which Degas described his time in NOLA.

Not really knowing what to expect we arrived 15 minutes early as instructed for breakfast. The house was locked but someone cam to the front door in about 7-8 minutes and unlocked it for us. It was a nice sit down breakfast with about 8 other travelers which was nice to talk and get to know one another. The breakfast was truly five star and out hats off to the cooks. The tour itself was very informative and the guide did a really good job. If you are seeking food, culture, history and love art this is a great way to spend about three hours. Understand though you are going to be in a home from the 1700's so do not expect "spit & polish".
