Great carriages and beautiful animals. The stories were good but I wish it held the haunt description more.

This tour with KJ was AWESOME!
KJ, was a great tour guide. We learned so much! He was very detailed oriented, he made special stops for us and was very patient with my guests who wanted to test his knowledge. I would definitely do another tour with this company and with this spiritual guide you have in Kevin. He's dope!

Fun Evening of History & Haunts!
We really enjoyed the History & Haunts Nighttime Carriage Tour! Our tour guide, Shannon, & his mule, O'Reilly, did a great job. We arrived a few minutes early & were able to sit in the front seat of the carriage behind the tour guide which I think is the way to go. Shannon seemed to treat O'Reilly well which made me happy. He told us some really cool stories & I definitely learned some things & heard more details on parts of stories & lore I'd heard of already. Now that I'm back home I've been looking further into some of the stories he told via YouTube. Fascinating stuff. Highly recommend this tour through the fun & history filled French Quarter. Remember to tip your guide!

Farce
Could not hear guide. Slow and boring. Cars racing by carriages with loud radios blaring. Walking tours were in our way constantly. Waste of money. Nothing even close to "haunted" on the entire ride. Carriage seats have no padding and are uncomfortable and have no PA for the people in the back to hear the guide. OVER PRICED ALSO.

Wonderful ghost tour
Our driver was very knowledgeable and he went out of his way to make sure we saw everything we could. We loved the tour and I think it was a great way to see and learn about the city. I even think Our dogs enjoyed themselves on the trip

Worth the Splurge
Our tour guide was Jonathon and our mule was Blondie. They were both amazing! We decided to splurge on the carriage ride and we are so happy that we did! You can bring drinks and relax while you take the tour. It was nice to take a break from walking and we got to see a lot of cool parts of the quarter that we wouldn't have otherwise seen. JOnathon was very informative and a great story teller. Our kids loved him! Would highly recommend!

Horrible…for me!!
The seats are only wide enough for 2 people, unless they’re kids. My girlfriend and I had to sit in the front with the driver so we were extremely cramped. Not to mention the brake pedal was right there too so I could barely move for an hour. To add insult to injury, the driver was yelling in my ear as he narrated non-stop for the entire trip. I’m sure the other people had fun but I sure didn’t. Don’t make people sit in the front to sell more tickets!!

Very informative tour
I really enjoyed the tour. Our guide was very knowledgeable and it's a very good value for the experience. The night ride down the famous streets of New Orleans and hearing the clip clip of the mule hooves was so nice. This was our 2nd trip on the Royal Carriages and it won't be our last. Definitely would recommend if in this town.

It All Depends On The Tour Guide You Get
This was our second time taking the carriage ride as we were return customers because the first time was so amazing! The guide we had on our first experience was very passionate and enthusiastic about his job and the New Orleans culture/history… this one, not so much. We were a party of 6, so we spent well over $300 for our trip after adding gratuity. Also, it said it was an hour long tour but our was only a little over 40 minutes.

History and Haunts Nighttime Carriage Tours
We took the History and Haunts Nighttime Carriage Ride with Sara and Armstrong. Sara was awesome and filled us with fun history and facts of the hauntings and legends that surround the French Quarter. Honestly she was one of the better guides we have ever had! And it’s very obvious how much she really cares for her mule Armstrong! It would have been a fantastic evening if we hadn’t had to wait for a group of girls in the 20s that were joining us. You are suppose to arrive 15 min prior to your scheduled tour, these girls pulled up in a car right at departure time, which meant we waited another 5 minutes before we could leave. The girls were loud, obnoxious, and a few were intoxicated. They didn’t listen to our tour guide and and tried to talk over her narration, which resulted in our tour guide having to stop, wait, and then resume her talk repeatedly. One girl wanted to get off at Lafitte’s Bar, but it wasn’t until we passed through Frenchman’s Street that they all decided to get off. They didn’t even bother to tip our guide which is just plain rude. We had a wonderful time afterwards but I feel like we missed out on a lot of cool info as our guide was interrupted repeatedly. Sara was amazing and very professional and I can’t think of any way she could have handled these people better, but I wish there was a way to screen them out because we paid a lot of money to go on this tour and we waited in the cold and wind for them to arrive, only to have them ruin our night until they could find something more “entertaining “ to do.

Had a great time
We learned so much about the city and the history. It was very engaging with a light side of spooky real-life stories that were incredibly interesting and well told. It was fun. Our mule Rancher was also really sweet and he got lots of pets.

Comfortable & “just us”
The carriage ride ghost tour was a fun and relaxing way to see the French Quarter and hear some haunting history while at it! Plus - it was perfect for a small group of us. No craning to hear the guide and shuffling around 20+ people.
