THE BISQUE IS AMAZING!
Booked our class by phone and Tripshock emailed my voucher very fast. I would not suggest trying to drive over here because there is no parking lot. Take an Uber or cab. We walked over from our hotel. The school is super easy to find and when you come inside you check in at the cashier stand. Our teacher, Julie was wonderful. Very funny and made you feel very welcome. It was nice to hear some of the history about some of the ingredients while she was cooking along with some of her fave places to buy them! Her helper, Ernest was very kind in passing out our dishes and cleaning them back up. It doesn't feel like you're there for 2.5 hours. It feels more like 90 mins. The time goes by fast and the food is sooooo good! My only regret is not picking up more spices as I left but thankfully they ship! Thank you Julie and Ernest!

New Orleans School of Cooking
I brought my Mom to New Orleans for her Birthday . I planned this cooking class for us as something fun to do while we were there. To our and everyone else’s surprise we were randomly seated with 4 other birthday celebrations. Needless to say it was a party! I felt we lucked out because we had Harriet a 70 something year old firecracker who’s instruction was plain, simple and FUNNY! She after teaching for 2 hours stayed after to speak to everyone individually and signed her cookbook with a personalized note of well wishes. She is full of knowledge and wisdom. The experience for me was that of having one of the elders teach you the special way to add that secret ingredient to make the family recipe turn out just right. Both Mom and I enjoyed this immensely, I recommend it to all. We choose the .. Gumbo, Jambalaya and Pralines class.

Love New Orleans
This class was a wonderful experience for myself, my husband and our two friends. The cooking instructor, Brandon, was phenomenal. He knew how to cook and most importantly he knew how to teach. Brandon broke it down which can be difficult for people who are born cooks. He gave us a short history of the food of New Orleans while he was cooking. The food was delicious and much better than the same food we had the night before at a restaurant known for its Cajun/Creole specialities. We didnt need to eat until dinnertime. We came back to the shop the day we were leaving and took advantage of the 10.00 shipping fee. The clerk was so accomodating that he went downstairs/somewhere to get the jelly for my friend. I would recommend this class, as even my grouchy husband was impressed with it.

Pat! The Cooking class queen
This is my third time doing the cooking school class and twice with Pat. She is the best, she could have her own TV show. She is informative, witty, animated and a sheer delight all that make this one enjoyable meal and entertainment. We will see you again Pat and will tell all our friends to be sure to visit you and your class. Thanks⚜

Best thing I did in New Orleans!
This cooking demonstration was so fun and informative, with such funny and entertaining stories from our Chef, Harriet. Who knew we were paying for a comedy show? Harriet made cooking look so easy and gave many tips to alter the written recipes to each of our own tastes. The food was amazing, and for the money, the food alone was worth it. However, you also get hilarious family stories and great recipes to take home with you. I am so glad we did this as this was the highlight of my trip.

The Best Ever
The experience of Creole Cooking, was a new experience for my husband and I. Usually when I sign us up to do stuff he is usually bored sat in the corner. This was "THE BEST EVER" Chef Kevin was entertaining. Knowledgeable, Humorous. Made the Group Bond and enjoy the moment. The Food was amazing and his hints & advise did not need a pinch of salt. Well worth time and money.

Came back to New Orleans to try this cooking demonstration, so glad we did!
Best value in New Orleans! "Really" The entertainment value alone was worth the money and the food that was prepared and served topped it all. We learned more about the culture and history of New Orleans in two hours than we had in 4 previous visits to New Orleans. Pat and her staff were just incredible. You have got to try this, great fun and education. Can't what to get home and put what we learned to work. Thanks.

Learned A Lot
Brandon was a great 'teacher's. He explained various options to prepare and cook Gumbo, Jambalaya & Pralines. He also included history of his LA upbringing, and background of the history of cooking in various regions of Southern Louisiana. Food was delicious and all had a good time.

AMAZING
Chef Brandon was amazing, so funny, and so informative! My boyfriend and I had so much fun, and are so excited to go back to California knowing the roots of real gumbo! (And how to correctly make it!)
