Yes, Fort Walton Beach waterparks are the perfect kid-friendly activity that the whole family will love! With over 40 water attractions to choose from, including rides and slides for all ages, there is something for everyone at Big Kahuna’s!
All ages are welcome at Big Kahuna’s waterpark, but some rides and attractions do have height restrictions. Only those who are at least 42 inches tall can ride Raging Rhino River, Thunder River, and Tiki River Run. Those who are at least 48 inches tall can ride Jumanji and Maui Pipeline Speed Slides. It is also recommended that anyone under 48 inches tall, or who are weak swimmers, wear Coast Guard approved life jackets. Lifejackets are available throughout the park, as well.
Big Kahuna’s waterpark is located in Destin, Florida, about 10 miles away from Fort Walton Beach. Please keep in mind that during the spring and summer, it could take about 30 minutes to an hour to get to Big Kahuna’s from Fort Walton Beach. The physical address is 1007 US-98, Destin, Florida, 32541.
All you will need to be sure to bring with you is a bathing suit, sunscreen, and towels. If you and your group do need to bring more things with you, lockers are available upon arrival for your convenience, for a nominal fee.
Once you book your ticket, that ticket can be redeemed at the park any day during the 2020 tourist season. If weather is bad the day you are wanting to go, then you can always just go another day within the same season. If pools and slides have to be shut down for over an hour due to inclement weather while you’re there, then you will be issued a free admission ticket for a return visit. Guests will be eligible for the offer only as they exit the park for the day, and must have a receipt.
