What is a Personal Trainer?

A personal trainer is a professional involved in a program that promotes exercize instruction. They help to motivate their client and give goals for them to reach. Strengths and weaknesses are measure by a personal trainer before and after an exercise program to evaluate improvement.

Where can I go for personal training?
A personal trainer is not limited to any one facility, they can operate out of a clients home, their personal home, outdoors, almost anywhere.

What kind of personal training is offered?
There are many types offered, from aerobic, resistance, and flexibility.
Are all trainers accredited?
Studies were shown that 70% out of trainers surveyed were not accredited and did not have a degree in fitness of any kind, or a certification except in CPR and AED, and a high school diploma (which are required). Those holding an ACSM (American College of Sports Medicine) or NSCA (National Strength and Conditioning Association) certification were 83% more qualified than those without any certification.
