What is a Zoo?

A place in which animals are housed within enclosures, displayed to the public, and in which they may also be bred.

What types of zoos are there?
There are a few different types.
Open-range zoos: Animals are confined behind fences or moats. Public Aquaria: Marine mammals, and freshwater or salt water fish are displayed. Roadside zoos: These are for-profit zoos and are mostly to attract tourists to other places. A lot of these are unregulated, and very common for neglect and cruelty to the animals. Petting zoos: This type of zoo is mostly for children, domestic and wild animal species that are trained to be touched or fed. Animal Theme Parks: These zoos are a mix of theme park and and a zoo. Rollercoasters, shows, creatures not seen at most other parks.
