I wouldn’t necessarily say Crab Island is pet friendly, but people do bring their pets quite often. Whether you can bring your pet really depends on the rules of the pontoon rental or charter company you choose. Some are pet friendly, others are not. Public tours usually only allow service animals. Keep in mind, there’s nowhere for dogs to go to the bathroom unless you dock at a beach, and shade is very limited, making it easy for pets to overheat. The atmosphere can get hectic, so be sure you know your pet’s temperament and needs before heading out. Always check with your rental company and plan ahead for your pet’s comfort and safety.
