Because Crab Island is a submerged sandbar, there are no permanent structures or restrooms available on-site. Most tour and charter boats do have onboard restrooms, but typical pontoon rentals rarely do. If you need facilities, you can politely ask a nearby tour boat, or temporarily leave to use the public restrooms at Destin Harborwalk Village Fuel Dock, just a five-minute boat ride away. However, it’s worth noting that many visitors simply relieve themselves in the water, as options are limited. It’s always a good idea to plan ahead for bathroom breaks before heading out to Crab Island.
