During the peak summer months, Crab Island’s water temperatures soar into the high 80s, with July and August being the warmest. Most days, it feels like a hot tub, especially in the later afternoon. The shallow depth causes the water to heat up quickly, making it noticeably warmer than other areas of the Bay or Gulf.
