That is actually a great question because there really is a difference. If I were going out just to watch family or friends fly, I would try to grab one of the seats toward the back of the boat if they are available. From there, you have the best view of the takeoff, the flight itself, and the landing. You can usually keep the people in the air in sight the whole time, and it is a great spot if you want to take pictures or videos. If you sit closer to the front, you still have nice views of the coastline, but you may find yourself turning around more often to watch the parasail behind the boat. That said, every parasail boat is laid out a little differently, so there is not always a perfect seat. The captain and crew may also ask guests to move around to help balance the boat depending on how many people are onboard. They do that for safety and to keep the ride comfortable, so I always tell people to be flexible if they ask you to switch seats. One thing many people do not expect is how much fun it is to watch everyone else fly. You get to see their reactions when they take off, hear everyone cheering when they come back down, and enjoy some beautiful views of the Destin shoreline while the boat cruises between flights. Even if you never leave the boat, it still feels like part of the experience. I have talked to plenty of parents and grandparents who chose not to fly and still came back saying they had an amazing time just being out on the water watching the rest of the family.
