Activities with limited inventory are generally the most important to book in advance, especially during spring break, summer, holidays, and other peak travel periods. Pontoon rentals, private captained charters, fishing charters, dolphin cruises, snorkeling tours, and sailing cruises often sell out days or even weeks in advance, particularly for morning departures and weekend dates.
If a pontoon rental or private charter is a priority, it's a good idea to reserve it before your trip. These activities have a limited number of boats available each day, and popular departure times are often the first to fill. Scheduling boat-based activities earlier in your vacation can also provide additional flexibility if weather conditions require a delay or rescheduling.
