Dolphins can be seen around Pensacola Beach throughout the year, so there is no single season when sightings are limited. Instead, your chances depend more on where you are and the conditions on the water. Calm seas, good visibility, and experienced captains can all improve the likelihood of spotting dolphins during dolphin cruises, eco tours, and private boat charters. Dolphins are also frequently seen from the Pensacola Beach Gulf Pier, around Pensacola Pass, and near boats traveling between the Gulf and Santa Rosa Sound. While sightings are common in every season, they are never guaranteed because dolphins are wild animals.
