If you only have one day in Key West, focus on a few signature experiences instead of trying to see every attraction. Start the morning exploring Old Town Key West, then visit landmarks like Southernmost Point Buoy or Ernest Hemingway Home and Museum. In the afternoon, choose one on-the-water adventure such as a snorkeling tour, reef snorkeling and sandbar excursion, dolphin watching and snorkeling cruise, jet ski island tour, or glass-bottom boat tour to experience the island from the water. End the day with a sunset sailing cruise or enjoy the nightly celebration at Mallory Square. Limiting your itinerary to one or two major activities leaves plenty of time to enjoy the laid-back atmosphere that makes Key West unique.
