Staying in Old Town Key West makes it easy to walk to many of the island's most popular attractions, including Duval Street, Mallory Square, Southernmost Point Buoy, and numerous restaurants, shops, and historic sites. Visitors staying outside Old Town often spend more time driving, parking, or arranging transportation before exploring the island. However, accommodations outside the historic district may offer lower prices, larger resorts, quieter surroundings, and easier parking. If your itinerary includes walking, sightseeing, nightlife, and popular snorkeling tours, sunset sailing cruises, or dolphin watching tours departing from the Historic Seaport or nearby marinas, staying in Old Town is often the most convenient choice.
