Question: If I bring a phone for parasailing photos, is there a dry place on the boat to keep it while I fly?
Answer: A guaranteed dry storage spot is not standard on every Hilton Head parasail boat, so phones stay safest in a waterproof pouch or small dry bag approved by the crew. The boat may have a console area, gear bin, or dry box, but space depends on the vessel and passenger load.
Question: Do kids get to touch any of the sea life on a shrimp boat tour?
Answer: Kids are involved in the catch review, but the crew decides what is safe to touch. The 2hr Tammy Jane shrimp trawling trip out of Harbour Town brings the net up, reviews what was caught, and lets guests participate in sorting the day’s catch. Children get a close look at shrimp and other sea life while the crew handles anything sharp, delicate, or not safe for small hands.
Question: If we have a group with different energy levels, what actually works for everyone?

Question: If we have never been on a boat before, what's water activity we should try on Hilton Head?
Answer: Keep your first boat experience as simple as possible because Hilton Head is a great place to ease into being on the water. A dolphin cruise or a sightseeing boat tour is usually where I point first timers because you are not expected to do anything except relax and enjoy the ride. The captain handles everything, the pace is comfortable, and you get to see the marshes, creeks, and open water without worrying about navigating or keeping up with a group. Most people are surprised by how calm the ride feels, especially when the boat stays in the protected waters around the island. Along the way you have a good chance of seeing dolphins, birds, and other wildlife, but even if the dolphins decide not to show up right away, the scenery alone makes the trip worthwhile. After you have done that once, you will have a much better idea of whether you want to try something more active like kayaking or even a private boat charter on another visit. I have had plenty of friends visit Hilton Head who were nervous about getting on a boat for the first time, and almost every one of them stepped off wondering why they waited so long.
