You can, but it often feels more rushed than visitors expect. Many dolphin-watching cruises, lunch and dinner cruises, sunset sails, and fishing charters depart from marinas near St. Pete Beach or nearby communities, while downtown St. Petersburg is a separate destination with attractions like The DalĂ Museum, St. Pete Pier, and the restaurants along Central Avenue. Trying to fit a full beach day, several hours downtown, and a scheduled boat tour into one itinerary usually leaves very little time to enjoy any of them. A better approach is to make your boat tour the centerpiece of the day and pair it with either a relaxing beach day or an afternoon exploring downtown St. Petersburg, rather than trying to do all three.
