For many visitors, the area around St. Andrews State Park and nearby Historic St. Andrews offers the strongest Old Florida atmosphere. You'll find working marinas, local seafood restaurants, oak-lined streets, and a slower pace than the high-rise resort areas. Nearby Shell Island also preserves a natural, undeveloped stretch of coastline that feels very different from the more commercial sections of Panama City Beach with major attractions.
