For many visitors, yes, mornings have several advantages. The biggest one is usually calmer water. Winds are often lighter early in the day, which makes it easier for beginners to feel comfortable. Temperatures are also more pleasant, especially during summer when the afternoon heat can become intense. Another benefit is that the waterways are sometimes less crowded during morning hours, so the experience feels more relaxed. That does not mean afternoon tours are bad. Some people actually prefer them because they have had time to wake up, enjoy breakfast, and get themselves ready for the day before heading out. Afternoon lighting can also be beautiful on the water. The tradeoff is that weather tends to become less predictable later in the day, particularly during summer when thunderstorms can develop. A morning departure is the safest bet and t usually provides the most comfortable conditions and the smoothest introduction to riding.
