The best advice I can give is to dress for comfort, not for fashion. You are going to be outside for several hours with very little shade, so lightweight clothes that dry quickly are always a good choice. Most people wear a t-shirt (don't bring your favorite ones either) or a light performance shirt, comfortable shorts, and shoes with good grip that you do not mind getting wet. I would avoid flip flops if possible because the deck can get slippery, especially if there is water or fish on it. A hat and polarized sunglasses are 2 things I almost never leave the dock without. The hat helps with the sun, and polarized lenses make it much easier to see into the water while also cutting down on glare. Even on warm days, I usually recommend bringing a light jacket or sweatshirt for the ride offshore. The breeze can feel surprisingly cool early in the morning, especially when the boat is running at speed. Once the sun gets higher, you can always take it off. Sunscreen is another must because the sun reflects off the water and catches a lot of people by surprise. If you are planning to keep fish or bait your hook, do not worry about getting a little messy. A few scales or fish slime are just part of the experience, so I would not wear anything that you would be upset about getting dirty. Also, depending on what kind of bait you use, your clothes can get stained by the ink of squid or guts from bait fish. There are times where I had to throw away my clothes when I got home. Oh yeah, bring a throw away rag to wipe your hands down because they won't supply these on the boat. If you use your shirt or pants to wipe your hands, consider them ruined. After talking with thousands of visitors over the years, the people who are the most comfortable are usually the ones who dress simply, stay protected from the sun, and wear clothes that let them enjoy the day instead of worrying about keeping everything perfectly clean.
