When you are standing on the beach, you experience Destin from the shoreline, but once you get out on the water, the entire area looks different. You see Destin Harbor from angles that are impossible from land, watch boats moving through East Pass, and get panoramic views of the emerald water. You may pass waterfront homes, marinas, fishing boats returning with their catches, and stretches of open water where the scenery is amazing. Most first time visitors say that they did not realize how beautiful the boat ride itself would be. They boarded expecting the sole focus to be on dolphins and ended up spending much of the trip taking in the scenery.
