Not always. Distances on the water can be deceptive because boats can't simply head straight to every destination. Traveling between Shell Island, St. Andrews State Park, and nearby marinas often requires following marked channels, slowing through no-wake areas, and avoiding shallow water. Summer boat traffic can also create delays around the most popular parts of Shell Island. Planning fewer stops usually gives you more time to swim, relax, and enjoy the day instead of rushing from place to place.
