The two most important forecast details are wind and thunderstorms. Wind has a big impact on water conditions, making the bay rougher and anchoring more difficult as speeds increase. If afternoon thunderstorms are in the forecast, a morning rental is often the better choice since Florida storms commonly develop later in the day. Air temperature is also worth considering, especially during the summer when you'll be spending several hours in direct sunlight. While a few clouds can make for a more comfortable day, strong winds or widespread storms are more likely to affect your time on the water. Checking the forecast the day before and again the morning of your rental is a good way to prepare.
