Boarding and unloading are pretty organized, but it can be a bit crowded depending on how busy the day is. At the dock, there is a short check in process where the crew gives instructions and helps guide everyone onto the boat safely. On busy days, you might see a few groups boarding around the same time. Once you step on board, you usually just find a seat or spot and settle in while everyone else boards. Unloading at Shell Island is similar, but often feels less chaotic because people are excited to get into the water. The boat usually comes to a stop in shallow water, and you either step off or use a small ramp, depending on the vessel. This happens rather quickly. One moment you are on the boat, and a few minutes later you are standing in the water or on the sand with the island right in front of you. The return process is the same in reverse, and while it can feel a bit busy again, it is smooth and well managed once you follow the crew’s directions.
