It depends on where you launch your drone. Launching or landing a drone from St. Andrews State Park is prohibited, as Florida State Parks do not allow recreational drone takeoffs or landings on park property.
If you're accessing Shell Island by private boat, you may be able to fly a drone, provided you comply with all applicable FAA regulations, avoid disturbing wildlife, and remain clear of restricted military airspace associated with nearby Tyndall Air Force Base. Before flying, always check current airspace restrictions using the FAA's approved flight planning tools, as restrictions and wildlife protections can change.
