While many visitors leave towels, chairs, and coolers on the beach while they swim nearby, it's best to keep valuables such as phones, wallets, and keys secured or with someone in your group. Shell Island is undeveloped and does not have lockers or secure storage. Bringing a waterproof pouch or dry bag is a good way to keep important items protected if you plan to spend time in the water.
