Destin Harbor is a narrower waterway with marinas, charter fishing boats, restaurants, and frequent commercial traffic. Choctawhatchee Bay provides a much larger area for cruising, with more open water and easier opportunities to travel between destinations such as Crab Island and surrounding shorelines.
