On a short trip, everything moves quickly from boarding to cruising to a stop and back again, so it can feel like you are just getting started when it is already time to head in. On a half day trip, there is more breathing room between activities, and you get to enjoy the environment instead of watching the time. Short trips are great for a quick taste of Destin on the water, but half day experiences usually feel more complete because you are not rushing through any one moment. That extra time changes the whole tone from a quick trip to a full-day experience.
