From that list, you get to choose who you want to hire, or if you already know a qualified captain, you can usually bring your own as long as they meet the company's requirements. That is an important part of a bareboat charter because the boat owner cannot assign a captain to you. They can only provide recommendations, and the final decision is yours. If you are not given any choices, then this is not a true bareboat charter and could compromised the agreement.
