In many cases, yes, but the difference is usually not as much as people expect. Sunset cruises often cost a little more because they take place during the most popular time of day, and those departures tend to sell out first, especially during the summer. The extra cost is usually only about 20-25% additional per person, depending on the company and the type of cruise. Personally, I think it is worth it because you are getting much more than just a boat ride. You have the chance to watch world class Destin sunset, see dolphins that are often active around dusk, and enjoy cooler temperatures after a hot day at the beach. If saving money is your top priority, a daytime cruise can still be a great experience and may offer more departure times. I tell guests that if this is your only chance to get out on the water during your vacation, I would spend the little bit extra and book the sunset cruise.
