Yes. Gulf Islands National Seashore provides a very different beach experience from most developed beachfront areas. Visitors often come for the undeveloped shoreline, historic Fort Pickens, nature trails, birdwatching, and opportunities to experience one of the most protected stretches of coastline along the Gulf rather than simply spending another day at the beach.
