Sunset has become one of Key West's signature daily traditions because of the island's unobstructed western views over the Gulf of Mexico. Every evening, crowds gather at Mallory Square for street performers, musicians, artists, food vendors, and the Sunset Celebration, while others watch from sunset sailing cruises, waterfront restaurants, or Fort Zachary Taylor Historic State Park.
