The nice thing about Santa Rosa Beach is you do not actually have to bounce all over 30A to have a full day. You can base yourself in one area and still accomplish a lot without turning it into a driving trip. Most people just go to the beach in the morning, then something close by on the water, then back to food and a relaxed evening. You can fill the day with a dolphin cruise or a short boat tour that leaves from a nearby marina without having to go far at all. I have seen a lot of visitors try to treat 30A like one long road trip, and they end up spending more time driving than actually enjoying it. What works better is just staying within your section of Santa Rosa Beach and letting the water activities be your big outing. That way, you are not chasing different towns up and down 30A.
