For many visitors, yes. Crab Island is one of the Emerald Coast's most unique boating destinations and doesn't have an equivalent along 30A. Many travelers spend one day in Destin enjoying Crab Island, dolphin cruises, pontoon rentals, or parasailing before returning to 30A for a quieter beach atmosphere the rest of their vacation.
