Santa Rosa Beach's shoreline is spread across multiple beach communities and access points rather than centered around a few large public beaches, which often creates a more relaxed atmosphere than some of Destin's busiest stretches. Beach crowds still increase during spring break, summer, and holiday weekends, but visitors frequently describe Santa Rosa Beach as feeling less congested, particularly near Blue Mountain Beach, Dune Allen Beach, and Topsail Hill Preserve State Park.
