Take it easy for your first time on a boat, and around this area, a dolphin cruise or a bay sightseeing tour works well. The reason I point people there first is that you are not responsible for anything once you step on board. You are not steering, you are not anchoring, you are not figuring out gear or timing anything. You just sit down, relax, and let the crew handle the whole experience while you get used to being on the water. Most of these trips run in the bay, which is much calmer than open water. You might feel a little aware of the movement at first, but after a few minutes, you should settle in just fine. It gives you a good baseline for how you feel on the water before you decide if you want to try something more active like snorkeling or a pontoon rental.
