Private boat charters can be worth it, but only in certain situations where you actually use the flexibility. The difference is that you are not on a set route or pace. On a private charter, the captain can adjust the day based on what your group wants and what is happening on the water. If you want more time dolphin watching, you can stay around longer. If you want to cruise and then anchor somewhere, you can do that too. This works well if you have a group, especially families or mixed ages. It also makes sense if you just do not want to deal with crowds. It gives you space, quiet, and control over what happens throughout your experience.
