Hilton Head has more than 60 miles of public multi-use pathways connecting beaches, neighborhoods, parks, shopping areas, and attractions across the island. During low tide, many visitors also ride bicycles directly on the hard-packed sand, creating one of the island's signature experiences. Because so much of Hilton Head is designed for cycling, many families choose bikes instead of driving throughout their vacation.
