Hilton Head offers two very different coastal environments. The Atlantic beaches are known for wide sandy shorelines, swimming, and biking, while the island's extensive salt marshes support dolphins, wading birds, oysters, crabs, and other wildlife. Many visitors experience both by spending one day at the beach and another on a dolphin cruise, kayak tour, or eco-tour through the marshes.
