If someone in your group does not swim, Hilton Head is actually still really easy to enjoy because a lot of the best activities do not require getting in the water at all. Dolphin cruises and sightseeing boat tours are probably the most comfortable option because everyone stays on the boat the whole time, usually in calm marsh or sound waters, and you can still get great views without anyone needing to swim. Kayaking can also work if you choose guided marsh tours where you are mostly paddling in shallow protected creeks, but that depends on how comfortable the person feels sitting low on the water rather than swimming. On land, biking is a huge win on Hilton Head because the trail system is so extensive that you can explore beaches, shaded neighborhoods, and areas like Harbour Town or Shelter Cove without ever needing to step into the ocean. Beach time itself can also work well since not swimming does not really matter if someone just wants to relax under an umbrella, walk the shoreline, or sit near the water.
