Watching the fireworks from one of Destin's tour boats is one of those experiences that is absolutely worth doing at least once. Most boats position themselves in the harbor before the show starts, so you have a front row seat without people standing in front of you or trying to squeeze into a crowded spot along the shoreline. It also feels much more relaxing because you can enjoy the final light of the day in cooler weather, cruise around the harbor, and then watch the fireworks without ever leaving your seat. That said, if you have very young kids who need an early bedtime or you are trying to save a little money, watching from land is still a great option. HarborWalk Village has a fun atmosphere with restaurants, live music, and plenty of places to watch the show. Personally though, if someone asked me to choose between the two, I would pick the boat every time.
