Most fireworks cruises in Destin depart from Destin Harbor, so you do not have to travel far to get to the show. The majority of operators leave from marinas along Harbor Boulevard, including AJ's Water Adventures at 116 Harbor Boulevard, SunVenture Cruises at 314 Harbor Boulevard, Destin Dolphin Cruise at 500 Harbor Boulevard, and Screaming Eagle Speedboat at 530 Harbor Boulevard. These departure points are only a short cruise from HarborWalk Village, where the Thursday night fireworks are launched during the summer. The nice thing about leaving from the harbor is that you spend very little time getting into position. Most captains cruise around the harbor while the sun sets, then anchor or idle in one of the best viewing areas before the fireworks begin. If you are booking a fireworks cruise, I recommend arriving at least 30 minutes before departure because parking around the harbor can get busy on fireworks nights (expect to pay around $20).
