No, the weekly fireworks shows are mostly a summer tradition, but that is not the only time you can see fireworks in Destin. During the summer, HarborWalk Village typically hosts fireworks on Thursday nights, and Baytowne Wharf (Sandestin) usually has them on Tuesday nights, making it easy to catch a show almost every week if you are visiting between late May and early August. Outside of the summer season, fireworks are usually reserved for special events and holidays like New Year's Eve, and occasionally other celebrations throughout the year. I tell visitors to check the event calendar for Harborwalk Village and the Destin-Fort Walton Beach Vistors Bureau before their trip because the schedule can change from year to year. If seeing fireworks from the water is on your bucket list, try to plan your vacation during the summer since that is when you will have the most opportunities to book a dedicated fireworks cruise. Watching the show from a boat with the reflections on the water is one of my favorite experiences in Destin, and it is something I recommend to anyone visiting during the peak season.
