It can be, but a larger vessel with room to move around is generally more practical than a small boat with assigned or limited seating. Parents should specifically look for onboard restrooms, shade, passenger capacity, life-jacket requirements, stroller policies, and whether guests can safely change seats during the trip. There is usually no opportunity to simply get off early once the boat has left the dock.
