Yes, a full boat can change the experience a little, but it does not usually stop people from seeing dolphins on Panama City Beach tours. What it mainly affects is your viewing angle and how quickly you can change positions when dolphins are spotted, not whether you will see them at all. On a full boat, the biggest difference is that certain spots naturally become more competitive, especially rail space when everyone stands up at the same time to look. If you are seated more toward the edges or rails, you can usually see just fine, but you may need to adjust a bit more to get a clear line of sight when people move around during sightings. That is why crew members usually encourage everyone to stay seated until dolphins are close, then step up in an organized way so it does not turn into a scramble. The middle seating area is still the most consistent for visibility because you can see both sides of the boat without having to constantly reposition. Upper decks, if available, can actually feel better on crowded trips because you get a wider view and fewer obstructions, especially when dolphins are a bit farther out.
