Morning trips, especially the first one or two departures of the day, are the most peaceful on the water. The marina is calmer, there is less boat traffic overall, and you are sharing the water with fewer tours at the same time. Midday is the busiest both on the water and at the marinas, since that is when most people naturally book tours after getting settled for the day. That is when you will see more boats in the same areas and more activity around Shell Island and the main dolphin routes. Late afternoon can also feel quieter, especially if it is not a peak sunset departure. A lot of the daytime crowds have already rotated back in, and while sunset cruises are popular, the earlier evening slots before the full sunset rush can feel a bit more open and less hectic.
