Waiting a day or two can be a bit risky, especially if you care about getting a specific time of day. The tours themselves usually do not disappear completely, but the most desirable departure times, like morning cruises and sunset trips, are the ones that tend to go first. During busy summer weeks, holidays, or weekends, it is pretty common for those prime time slots to be gone a few days in advance. What is often still available closer to the date are midday departures or less flexible time windows, which can still be a great experience, just not always what people originally had in mind when planning. If your schedule is flexible, booking last minute is usually fine, and you will still find something that works. But if you are trying to coordinate with kids, other activities, or just want the smoothest water conditions, waiting can limit your choices.
