Shell Island can be challenging for someone with significant mobility limitations because much of the experience involves natural sand and uneven shoreline. Even if the boat itself is accessible, getting from the vessel onto the island and moving across soft sand may be difficult for wheelchairs, walkers, or guests with knee and hip problems. Accessibility should be confirmed for both the vessel and the actual island stop.
